Main attractions

Our main ring attractions this year include the acrobatic group The Black Eagles. Originally from Tanzania, they have performed at the Royal Albert Hall, Glastonbury Festival, the Queen’s Jubilee and soon the Woodhall Spa Country Show! We are also looking forward to Derek Tindall’s Birds of Prey flying in the main ring, with the opportunity to get up close and personal with his hawks, owls, cultures and falcons.

Along with many other displays, for the first time at the show we will have some giant visitors – Giant Aldabra tortoises. We also have donkey rides and a reptile display to keep the little ones entertained. There will be our bouncy castle and inflatable slide, a yeomanry display and much more……….

Wide range of food available

List of food stalls

What can I eat

Catering and food sections are subscribed to the limit of the allotted space available with an attempt to broaden the range on offer. Some traditional and some not so traditional flavours!

Lots to see throughout the day

What is there to see

The theme for the 2019 show is ‘The Dairy Industry’…….more information on that coming soon!

Livestock judging will be going on until 3.30 p.m. when the champion animal from each species arrives in the Main Ring for the ‘Best Live Exhibit in Show’ class. In addition to some friendly donkeys for donkey rides, there are also many more ‘exotic’ animals to see at the show this year!

We have classic Vehicles and Vintage tractors to see and just near by the Vintage Stationary Engines if your interested in early mechanical technology. It’s well worth taking a look at some of the early attempts to resolve design problems before the electric motor came along and replaced them as a power source in the workshops and on the farms.

We typically have about 100 trade stalls to look around throughout the day, plus a heritage and craft marquee.

Our music trailer is always popular and you can watch live music all day, with the Wrinkly Rockers (show favourites) already confirmed!

This is all in addition to a full programme of events to be held in the main ring
